The Awards program is an advertising design competition that recognizes and rewards the creativity of FCMA students in the field of advertising, business communication and visual communication.
Communication students taking Advertising subject originally designed advertisements for their chosen product based on the needs of its target customers. Groups of students functioned as ad agencies during the entire term where each member of the group is assigned position relative to ad agency composition. The groups compete for the categories in Print, TV, Outdoor, Transit, Online and the Campaign of the Year Award. They wrote, designed, and produced their own advertisements based on their chosen products. These students were exposed to rigorous market study, barnstorming and in producing original advertisements based on initial study of their market. The outputs are total ad campaigns rendered in digital format. Each year, more than 40 creatively executed entries were submitted to compete in the categories. Entries are judged by Creative Directors from chosen advertising agencies based in Cambodia. Special Awards are also given to the Best Art Director, Copywriter and Media Planner.
Our aim is to develop and inspire creativity in the field of communications–a potent tool for the students to become global graduates in response to industry demands. These young creatives will be the future leaders and industry-shapers who will play huge role in strengthening Cambodia’s advertising industry.
Organized and initiated by the Faculty of Communications & Media Arts of Pannasastra University of Cambodia, the student advertising awards is the first to happen in Cambodia and will continue in the years ahead.
